This game is fantastic! I Stumbled Upon this one a long time ago and instantly became obsessed! The concept is very simple: You are a stick figure who is capable of shooting two long strands from both arms. You goal is to swing from obstacle to obstacle in an effort to make it as far as possible without falling. Sounds easy enough, but when the terrain becomes scarce, you might not make it to far! The boss was complaining in our staff meeting the other day that he wasn’t getting any respect.
The next day, he brought a small sign that read: “I’m the Boss!”
He then taped it to his office door.

I don’t know if I’d necessarily describe this blog as Magnanimous…but that’s only because I try not to use words that I don’t entirely know what they mean. Anyway, I’m just kidding, any mom who has two kids and finds the time to share stories and pictures about them is certainly magnanimous. Also, magnanimous sounds a lot like “Maggie” which may be what she was going for in the first place.
I would like to see more innovation in this one although I’m not sure which game came first. The idea of this one is to protect your cake slices from the endless ant hordes by placing cannons which fire automatically and can be upgraded. A young man who was also an avid golfer found himself with a few hours to spare one afternoon. He figured if he hurried and played very fast, he could get in 9 holes before he had to head home.
Just as he was about to tee off an old gentleman shuffled onto the tee and asked if he could accompany the young man as he was golfing alone.
Not being able to say no, he allowed the old gent to join him.
To his surprise the old man played fairly quickly. He didn’t hit the ball far but plodded along consistently and didn’t waste much time.
They reached the ninth fairway, and the young man found himself with a tough shot. There was a large pine tree right in front of his ball, directly between his ball and the green.
After several minutes of debating how to hit the shot the old man finally said, “You know, when I was your age I’d hit the ball right over that tree.”
With that challenge placed before him, the youngster swung hard and hit the ball right smack into the top of the tree trunk, where it thudded back on the ground not a foot from where it had originally been.
The old man offered one more comment, “Of course, when I was your age that pine tree was only 3 feet tall.”

Wow, if I was an old man, I don’t think I’d have the courage to play a trick like that on a strong young man who is wielding a golf club. Sweet Catastrophe…21 and Invincible! <-- I love the name and the tagline of this blog. I guess I can't really put it into words. It just seems like the blog of someone with a good sense of humor with a unique perspective on life (and anyone who is unique is a good writer, at least for the fact that they're not just regurgitating the same old stuff we've all read a million times before). After inspecting this blog a little further, I can see that I am right.
The place I start on most blogs (and something that is missing from my own, though I intend to add it sometime) is the About Page. On Jade’s about page, I learned a lot very quickly, which puts everything else into perspective. She’s a 21 year old General Studies major at a school in Georgia. She’s got a cat, a boyfriend, a roommate…she’s goofy, souther, but not girly.
I have to mention the top post on her blog for my own benefit, maybe no one else will care, but it is entitled “U + Me = Calculus”. It reminds me (I assume intentionally on Jade’s part) of a 2000 made-for-MTV movie about the formation of a boy band (they were still hot back then). Anyway, the whole reason I bring it up is because it was the first movie my wife and I ever saw together (though at the time, we weren’t even boyfriend and girlfriend yet).
Anyway, Jade did an excellent job putting a big smile on my face with that post, I’m sure (at least) one of her funny posts will put a big smile on your face too!
This was seriously one of my favorite games since I started doing this site! The basic idea is that you launch your plane from a cannon and see if you can beat your opponents distance! You get three tries to beat your opponents high score and can buy all kinds of fun powerups (my favorite being ‘freaky’, you’ll see!) This game is tons of fun!
My best distance was 650m (I could have played longer but Angelica was harassing me…)

Next day, the FBI comes over to Tom’s house. They search the shed where the firewood is kept, break every piece of wood, find no marijuana, swear at Tom and leave.

“Hey, Tom! Did the FBI come?”
“Yeah!”
“Did they chop your firewood?”
“Yeah they did.”
“Okay, now it’s your turn to call. I need my garden plowed.”

I remember “back in the day” when SNL was hysterical everytime you turned it on. Nowadays it’s like 15 minutes of setup and 10 minutes of sketch with a crazy elaborate set. Before you can successfully start reading this blog, you first gotta check out the cast: Peg’s Players over at Peggy as she is. You see, Peggy doesn’t like to use real names for her family members and close ones, so she has cute aliases (Secret Admirer, Mommy Dearest, etc.) for them all. Peggy is a corporate suit turned self-employee who refuses to ever return to that cold corporate world.
This is a great blog with a lot of cute stories and good insight, definitely worth checking out. But at the time of this writing, Peggy is in a bit of a time of need and maybe could use some consoling.
You see her “Secret Admirer” (aka husband of 6+ years) was recently in a motorcycle accident. He dislocated his hip in such a severe “unusual” way that he had to be airlifted to a special hospital. Peggy posts an update where she lets us know that he is doing well (given the circumstances) and will be in surgery TODAY to remove bone chips around the top of his femur, which is fractured.

You might think that Grav Ball is the sequel to yesterday’s game, Curve Ball, however you would be sadly mistaken. You people just love your ball games!
This one pits you against gravity as you attempt to put a soccer ball into the white frame goal. Sounds easy right? WRONG! You have to avoid both hitting the red donut thingys and losing your ball off-screen. Both of which will make your ball explode! I almost through my computer out the window before making it to the end of this one. It really tests your patience…which apparently I have little left.
When you occasionally have a really bad day, and you just need to take it out on someone, don’t take it out on someone you know, take it out on someone you don’t know.I was sitting at my desk when I remembered a phone call I’d forgotten to make. I found the number and dialed it.
A man answered, saying “Hello.”I politely said, “This is Chris. Could I please speak with Robyn Carter?”Suddenly a manic voice yelled out in my ear “Get the right f***ing number!” and the phone was slammed down on me. I couldn’t believe that anyone could be so rude .
When I tracked down Robyn’s correct number to call her, I found that I had accidentally transposed the last two digits.After hanging up with her, I decided to call the ‘wrong’ number again.When the same guy answered the phone, I yelled “You’re an asshole!” and hung up.
I wrote his number down with the word ‘asshole’ next to it, and put it in my desk drawer. Every couple of weeks, when I was paying bills or had a really bad day, I’d call him up and yell, “You’re an asshole!” It always cheered me up. Go reading
