Finally a game that is close to my heart! Upbeat is very similar to the popular PS2 classic “Guitar Hero” Series. Being a longtime drummer, I felt pretty at home with this one (please save the drummer jokes for the Funniest JokeCategory)
The object of this game is to use the asdjkl and space bar keys to tap out the rhythm of the passing bars. I only had time for a few games of this so I tried two of the songs, one medium (I Think We’re Alone Now) and one hard (Borderline) Way cool concept and translates well to the computer! Thanks to Miniclip.com for today’s game!
Here’s my screenshot of “Borderline:”

Now let’s see your high scores!

Hell of Falling Sand is a creative game where you basically use certain element (ie fire, water, oil, napalm, C4 etc.) to control the environment, as sand, water, oil and salt continue to fall on the screen. There is no real way to “win” the game but rather, utilize it to make some really cool drawings.
As the site informs, “This is yet another version of the famed and highly addictive falling sand game which is believed to be of Japanese origin.” Once you start messing with this you’ll be mesmerized for hours! I, however don’t have the patience to make anything cool and fun, however here is a cool screenshot someone else posted on their forums: (I, in no way, shape or form claim any credit for this picture)

I wouldn’t exactly call it an impossible quiz, perhaps impossibly frustrating may be more apropos. The Impossible Quiz is a more of an endurance than a knowledge quiz. Needless to say, I failed.
This was the first game that I absolutely HATED but played for the sake of YOU, the reader. Hell, you might like stroking a flash cat, or answering bizarre questions by random guess, however it’s not for me. The nail in the coffin was that I kept making it to question 80 something and couldn’t clip the damned toenails fast enough. Even when I’d get them all it would still explode and GAME OVER instantaneously. Hats off to anyone who can win this and just know, whoever created this, that I hate you personally.
My favorite question:

Do you like blowing things up? Then this game is for you! Indestructo pits you as an indestructible tank vs. helicopters. Your only weapon: naturally, you!
This game is a lot of fun! You basically wait for the helicopters to drop bombs on you, launching you into the air and land on the helicopters to make them explode. You need a set amount of experience (copters blown up) to advance to the next level. The more combos (where you hit more than one in a row without landing) the higher your score! Thanks to Funderoo.com for a great find!
Here’s my outcome, now let’s see yours!

I really like the concept of Galactic Gravity Golf (click to play, opens new window) but like real golf, I’m terrible at it!
The idea is just like real golf except you’re playing with zero gravity! Don’t hit the planets or your ball explodes. You basically have one shot to get it in the hole but each swing counts as a stroke like in real golf. Basically they expect you to stink! Thanks to Kongregate.com for another great game!

Castle Wars (click to play, opens new window) is a turn/card-based game in which the object is to build you castle to 100 before your enemy. Each card gives you bonuses in each of the areas of play: Castle, Crystals, Weapons & Bricks.
Crystals help you summon special attacks, such as a dragon which does 32 damage, weapons are attack based and bricks help build up your defenses. Sounds easy enough right? I was cursing at both the screen (and Bobby via gmail chat) after I lost four straight rounds on easy vs. the computer. I’ve gotten better since and this game is way more than just chance. The best part is you can play via net against other players! Thanks to Kongregate.com for today’s game. Here’s what the initial game setup looks like:

Another cruel Most Fun Game makes it way into the winner circle! Kitten Cannon (click to play) is a simple, no-brainer. You aim the cannon, wait for the power gauge to be where you want it, hit the space-bar and watch ‘em fly!
The concept is easy enough: Fire a kitten from a cannon, don’t get eaten by the plants, or stuck on the spikes, and use the trampolines and explosives to propel you as far along as you can. Sounds easy right? Don’t be so sure. This game if nothing to scoff at and will have you climbing the walls in no time! Sorry to all the cute little kittens out there, but this game is too much fun! Thanks to AddictingGames.com for this one!

I don’t think I did too shabby today, after a few rounds (ok, a lot more than a few…) I pulled out 1,418 feet.

Today’s game is called Platform Racing (click to play, opens a new window.) This game is unlike anything I’ve seen on the internet. The gist of the game is that you are a little space-looking guy that runs around trying to make it to the end of the maze. The trick is that you are competing against other players! The levels are filled with Mario-style ? blocks that give you special weapons, and loads of traps. The best part is that if you jump on your opponent’s head, it squishes them into a pancake and slows them down!

Can you beat Kevin’s score?
No score on this one. Sorry! Didn’t have a whole lot of time to play this one. Hopefully update it later.

Proximity (click to play.) like the game Othello with a twist. Instead of just black and white chips, this game employs red and blue with numbers on them. The object remains to have the most of your chips on the table at the end of the game (when there aren’t anymore spaces available.) However, you only flip opposing chips if your number is higher than theirs. To add to this, if you place your own chip next to another of yours, it increases your chips’ numbers by 1.
Can you beat Kevin’s score?
This was my first attempt at the game in which I ended up with 708 armies and 67 territories.

Today’s Most Fun Game is my favorite game yet! Onslaught 2(click here to play, opens new window). is a game where you must protect a military base, by employing different types of weapons. Each weapon may be upgraded by range, rate & damage. Approaching enemies come in “waves” and each one you kill garners you more cash. You can also combine certain weapons to form combos by upgrading their damages to max.
This game is intensely fun! It becomes stressful about 10 minutes into the game when the waves start becoming harder to fend off. Onslaught 2 is a game reliant heavily on strategy. They offer a tutorial run and I suggest you try it out first!
Can you beat Kevin’s score?
I can’t touch half the “regulars” that posted their scores on the forum but here’s my score:
Wave: 159, Kills: 1561, Points: 189723940

Today’s Most Fun Game is a favorite of mine called Boomshine (click here to play).

The game starts with you clicking in a field of iridescent floating dots. When you click, your initial dot spans out into a lighted larget circle. Any dots that touch your circle then expand into their own circles, however they only last a few seconds. The idea is to trap as many floating dots in your beams as possible. Each level has it’s own amount before you can pass to the next level. Very cool! (I really like the music!)

I was very impressed with my score of 273…until I read others scores and found out I was something like #290.

Today’s Most Fun Game is about as viciously brutal as they come: Meet Bowman 2 (click here to play).

As you can see from that screenshot, I’m pretty terrible at this game. The object is simple: Shoot your opponent through the heart with a bow & arrow. Math geeks (like Bobby) should love this. Chock full of geometrical angles, physics and the like! (Which is why I’m terrible, and stick to visual design.)
Can you beat Kevin’s score?
I couldn’t really find a way to post a “high score” for this one. The closest I could approximate was that it took me 7 arrows to kill my opponent.
Now let’s see your scores! Shouldn’t be too hard to beat me! Remember, NO CHEATING! Thanks both to Addicting Games.com and FreeWorldGroup.com for this gem of a game.

Today’s Most Fun Game is a very addictive game called Bloons (click here to play).
I had stumbled upon this game several months ago and spent hours playing! I was literally up until 2 am last night playing as well. With this in mind I give you fair warning: Don’t play this game unless you have some serious time on your hands! It is as addicting as it is frustrating!
The gist of the game is that you are a monkey with a limited supply of darts. You are floating on a cloud and you need to pop X amount of balloons to advance to the next level. Sounds easy enough right? Think again! There’s special balloons that give you a boomerang effect, explode or freeze other balloons making them unpoppable!
Can you beat Kevin’s score?
We thought it might be fun to post my score each day for you all to see how you match up against me. I’m by no means a rocket scientist but I do enjoy a good game! Since this game has no “score” per se, I will post my “progress.” I made it to Level 38 without the use of the “unlimited darts” option. Here’s my screenshot:
