Feedburner is an awesome tool for optimizing your feed for your readers. A feed is an excellent way to maintain a reader base.
Sure anyway can get a few visitors to check out their blog once or twice, but a well placed, easy to reach, easy to activate feed keeps those few visitors coming back. You’ll notice that my feed count is already at 137 (and rising!), this is because I was able to combine my FeedBlitz account (email subscriptions) into my FeedBurner account (RSS subscriptions).
So, as I give this advice to you, I am actually using it myself by promoting by own feed. So, join the 137, won’t you?

nice blog and domain name - can’t believe someone didn’t already have this one!

Well, I’ve had it for about a year now, but I was very happy to land it too initially. Especially since I was starting off on blogspot and someone had already taken bestestblog.blogspot.com! My wife actually dislikes the name, but I think it’s awesome, haha!

Sorry, I try to keep my comments to one exclamation point per, but I got a little too excited about that last one.

yeah pretty much anything good is taken up on blog spot cause theres too many people there. on the topic though, i had to re set up my feedburner account and since i’ve last been there (a LONG time ago), theres been a lot of changes and way more options added to the whole idea. Will have to wait till later to put my feedblitz and feedburner together too

The main problem with blogger is that they don’t delete blogs that are dead. I’ve seen blogs with great names that haven’t been posted on in years. They should have some kind of rule where you must post at least once every 6 months. They can’t relay on people deleting their own blogs.
I’m not going to subscribe because I don’t want to get flooded with emails, and I also do that myself. Everyday I try to check out all the blogs that are in my sidebar. I actually have this site and blankest blank bookmarked.
Thanks for the tips about promoting feeds though. I’m going to move mine around now.

Well, the great thing about feeds, is they aren’t served through emails (unless you want them to be). There are programs like my favorite Google Reader that automatically collect any posts from your favorite blogs in one easy to read location!

Eh, I’m not down with the feedburner.
